NZHTA Constitution Aho Tāhuhu ratified
NZHTA has officially ratified its revised constitution following a vote of members that concluded on 6 July 2026. It is available to access through our website here: https://nzhta.org.nz/about-us
The successful passing of all 16 constitutional amendments fulfils the commitment made at the 2023 NZHTA Conference to review the constitution and strengthen NZHTA's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Over the past two years, kaiako have contributed through consultation, conference discussions, webinars, and a 60-day voting process. The new constitution provides a modern governance framework that embeds Te Tiriti o Waitangi within the association's structures and future direction.
The NZHTA Executive would like to sincerely thank all kaiako who participated in the consultation and voting process.
